Important Notes
Below are important notes you should understand before using SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot (EX).
Customer Registration
The first time you use the service, you will have to complete customer registration. After registration is complete, you may purchase a 24-hour plan to access the service. In order to register, you will need to have an environment where you can receive emails.
Purchasing Access
Once you complete customer registration, you can purchase access by connecting to SSID: SWS1day when inside a service area. Your access starts immediately after purchase. You will not be charged unless you purchase access.
Changing Customer Information
You can change your registered customer information from the customer website.
Access History
From the customer website, you can view your access history over the last 3 months (A statement is attached to the credit card payment report email. The statement cannot be reissued and must be kept with care).
Usable Access Points
- You can register and use the service from an access point that can connect to SSID: SWS1day.
- While you are still within your access period, you can use the Internet from any access point that can connect to SSID: SWS1day.
- We are working on updating our access points so that they are compatible with this service, so you may not be able to use the access point at some places marked with a SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot sticker.
Cancelling your Account
You may cancel your account from the customer website.
Additionally, if you do not use the service within a 6-month period (including access to the customer website) your account will be cancelled and your customer information will be deleted.
If you wish to use the service after your account has been cancelled, you will have to register once again.
Customer Subscribing to SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot
If you are a customer currently subscribing to SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot, it will still cost money to connect to SoftBank Wi-Fi Spot (EX) using a computer or other device.

Login ID/Password
In order to login, you'll be asked to create a login ID and password. Please do not share your login information with any third party.
Security
- We do not offer encryption such as WPA/WEP.
If you are using the Internet to send or receive personal or private information, we strongly suggest you use a server between you and the person you are conducting communications with that has protection such as TLS (Transport Layer Security) and Internet VPN. - If you use TLS or Internet VPN, security is protected even in wireless areas, so if anyone tries to intercept your data, the contents of your transmissions will still be protected.
- Communication between your device and our server is done through TLS. Data is encrypted using your login information (login ID/password).

JavaScript
Our service uses JavaScript. Please note that if JavaScript is disabled in your browser, you will not be able to connect to SoftBank Wi-Fi Spots, so please make sure it's enabled.
